2011 to present

President and Co-Founder of Clemens & Asociados, S.A., a company that provides consulting services to businesses. Clemens & Asociados is an investor in and a consultant to Smart Tech Group, S.A., a company that developed software and hardware for fiscal printers. Smart Tech is selling fiscal printers in Panama to enable customers to comply with the recently enacted sales tax reporting requirements.

2009 to present

Co-Founder and Director of MCC Capital & TAG Corp., a company that consults on energy projects including electrical power generation and oil production and processing. MCCC/TAG is constructing an oil refinery, two tank farms and a connecting pipeline in Panama. MCCC/TAG is consulting on the purchase and installation of electrical generators at several locations in South America and Africa.

2009 to present

Co-Founder and President of Ground Solutions World Corp. that provides a proprietary material (CONSOLID) used to stabilize soil for construction projects such as roads and building sites in Panama and Venezuela.

2007 to present

Co-Founder and Secretary of Laminati Panama, S.A. that represents a group of companies providing high quality building materials to office, apartment and condominium developers in Panama.

2006 to present

Senior Consultant, Director and Secretary of The Alegrett Group, S.A. (TAG), a consulting firm formed to assist companies in foreign business projects by providing access to the highest levels of government.

1982 to present

Co-Founder and President of Quick-Data, Inc., a company that provides business management and consulting services.

    Partner in the Intellectual Property and Technology law firm of Fraser Clemens Martin & Miller.
  • 2004 – 2007
    Joined Butzel Long, a major general practice law firm in Detroit, Michigan to build the Intellectual Property and Technology practice group.
  • 1997 – 2004
    Established the Livonia, Michigan office of the IP firm MacMillan, Sobanski & Todd where I hired and supervised five patent attorneys.
  • 1991 – 1997
    Began the Intellectual Property Law Group at the Howard & Howard law firm in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
  • 1971 – 1991
    Clerked at a patent law firm and became registered as a patent attorney in 1974. Became a partner in that law firm in 1975, and was elected the managing partner in 1983. In 1984 this firm became Fraser & Clemens and, in 1985, merged into Marshall & Melhorn, a major general practice law firm in Toledo, Ohio where I continued as a partner and was a founding member of the Technology Law Group.
1969 to 1971

Engineering manager at Leigh Systems in Syracuse, New York in charge of air pollution monitoring equipment and aircraft crash locator beacons.

1965 to 1969

Upon graduation from undergraduate engineering school, worked as a project engineer at the Prestolite Company in Ohio and New York designing fractional horsepower electric motors.

Past President (80-81) of the Toledo Patent Law Association and currently a member of the Intellectual Property Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan and the Toledo Bar Association.
